DLR Test Preparation
DLR Test Preparation
Complete preparation for the DLR (German Aerospace Center) selection used across the Lufthansa Group — the candidate-booked DLR-Zertifikat test day, the grading airlines apply to it, and the assessment-centre stage, with strategies for every subtest area.
Course Lessons
Practice Exercises
The real assessment exercises this course prepares you for.
Math: Full
A mixed practice test combining all math categories — integers, decimals, fractions, time, weight, operators, and percentages — with a per-question timer.
Audio Math Test
Mental arithmetic you hear instead of read: each question is narrated once in your headphones, and the answer clock only starts when the voice stops.
Speed, Distance & Time
Solve speed–distance–time word problems in an aviation setting — ground speed, distance to run, ETA and fuel burn — applying distance = speed × time to find the missing variable, mentally and against the clock.
Acoustic Memory Test
Hear a spoken sequence once, hold it through a filled delay, and type it back — exactly in order.
Associative Memory
Memorise a set of symbol–number pairs, then after a short delay recall which number went with each symbol.
Visual N-Back
Shapes in colours go past one at a time. On every one, say whether it is the same shape AND the same colour as the one a few places back — and the lag you are matching against changes from block to block.
Cube Folding
Mentally fold a flat net of six symboled faces into a cube, then pick which of four folded cubes it makes. Tests spatial visualisation and 2D-to-3D reasoning under time pressure.
Mental Rotation
See a 3-D block figure, then pick the option that is the same object rotated — not a mirror image or a different shape. The classic Shepard–Metzler / Vandenberg–Kuse task.
Spatial Awareness
Visualise a 3D shape from a fixed viewpoint and pick the matching 2D view. Tests mental rotation and spatial perception under time pressure.
Spatial Orientation
Read your compass heading and a beacon's bearing, then judge where the beacon lies relative to your aircraft. Tests spatial orientation and sense of direction under time pressure.
Instrument Comprehension
Read cockpit instruments and reconstruct the aircraft's situation: match an attitude indicator and heading compass to the right silhouette, or — in the cut-e-style RBI/GYRO format — add heading and relative bearing to find the NDB beacon's zone.
Number Sequences: Full Test
The full progress test for number sequences — a mixed drill combining 30% easy, 40% medium and 30% hard sequence types to mirror the difficulty level of real pilot assessments.
Non-Verbal Reasoning
Spot the rule in a set of abstract figures — pick the odd one out, the option that completes the pattern, or the true rotation of a figure. Tests non-verbal, fluid reasoning under time pressure.
Figural Analogies
Work out how the first shape becomes the second, then apply the same transformation to the third shape and pick the figure that completes the analogy. Tests non-verbal, abstract inductive reasoning under time pressure.
Letter Series
Spot the hidden rule in a row of letters and pick the next one — the letter analogue of number series, training serial induction on the alphabet.
Rule Application
Hold a small rule-set in mind and apply it to a fast stream of coloured symbols — press the response each rule dictates before the window closes.
Perceptual Speed
Compare two strings at a glance and decide — same or different? Rapid-fire detail checking against the clock.
Processing Speed
Learn a digit–symbol key, then match a rapid stream of symbols to their digits as fast as you can. Pure coding speed against the clock.
Vigilance Test (VIGIL)
Test your attention and reaction speed. Detect when the moving circle skips a position.
Technical Reasoning
Inspect a technical construction of gears, pulleys, racks and rods, and pick the option that allows (or disallows) the indicated movement.
Physics Knowledge
Answer high-school-level physics questions across mechanics and fluids, electricity and magnetism, optics, heat and energy — predicting how physical scenarios behave, not just recalling formulas.
Electrical Comprehension
Reason about simple electrical circuits from their diagrams — switches and bulbs, series versus parallel behaviour, Ohm's law and power, and everyday electrics and magnetism.
Aviation English
Three modes: written multiple-choice English items across grammar, idioms, synonyms and sentence completion, with a Wizz Air TestAir360 grammar preset; an ATC listening mode where a transmission plays once and you answer on what you heard; and a read-then-answer mode where a short text disappears before its question appears.
Instrument Coordination Test
Hold heading, altitude and speed on their bugs with stick and thrust — while a voice stream demands answers of its own.
Auditory Detection Test
Monitor a spoken number stream in your headphones and respond only to the targets — or to the hidden even/odd runs.
Multitasking Test
Two tasks at once: scan number grids for duplicate pairs while answering spoken questions from your phonebook, agenda, mental math and word categories — some of which must be answered at an exact moment on the clock.
Hand-Eye-Foot Coordination Test
A real-time three-axis coordination test. Keep the aircraft centred on the target runway while periodic disturbances push it left/right, forward/backward, and roll it from side to side. Best practised with a game controller or rudder pedals mapped to the three control axes.
Complex Choice Reaction Test
Compare a target figure against four reference shapes and decide within 2.5 seconds whether it matches one of them.
Determination Test (DT)
Test your reaction speed with colors, directional arrows, and sounds across adaptive difficulty levels.
Path Following Test
A hand-eye coordination test of fine-motor precision, built on the continuous path-tracking format used across pilot aptitude screening. Steer a dot along a winding track from the green start to the red end without drifting off the path. The same route repeats each round so your improvement is measurable.
Big Five Personality Test
A scientifically grounded personality inventory based on the IPIP-NEO-120. Rate 120 statements to map your profile across the five major personality domains — Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism — each broken down into six facets.
Biographical Inventory
Meet the biodata questionnaire format used in pilot selection — structured multiple-choice questions about your education, achievements, teams, technical interest, pressure history and work habits. No score, no tricks: a familiarization and interview-preparation tool that turns your own life history into ready interview material.
