Path Following Test
Neuro-SensomotoricA hand-eye coordination test of fine-motor precision, built on the continuous path-tracking format used across pilot aptitude screening. Steer a dot along a winding track from the green start to the red end without drifting off the path. The same route repeats each round so your improvement is measurable.
Overview
The Path Following Test measures hand-eye coordination and fine motor control under a continuous tracking task, a staple format of pilot aptitude screening. Using a game controller you steer a dot along a generated track from a green start to a red end while keeping it within the path band. Scoring rewards both accuracy (low deviation from the centerline) and speed. Two control modes are available: Absolute, where the stick position maps directly to the dot's position, and Velocity, where the stick controls the dot's speed. The same route repeats across every round of a run so improvement is directly comparable. Officially this format is Schuhfried's 2HAND two-hand coordination test in the Vienna Test System.

Example: what the test looks like
Steer the orange dot from the green start to the red end without leaving the blue path band โ left stick moves it horizontally, right stick vertically, both hands at once. You choose your own pace: faster runs score more, but drift too far from the centerline and the round ends. The demo below flies a typical medium-difficulty path.
This preview steers itself โ in the real test every movement is yours, via a PS5 or Xbox controller, or most other standard gamepads. Each run generates a fresh random path, and recorded runs produce a full steering & coordination report in your History tab.
Game Phases
Configure
Choose the number of rounds, control mode (Absolute or Velocity), path complexity, and โ in Velocity mode โ stick sensitivity.
Steer to start
Move the dot onto the green start point and hold it there for the 3-second countdown. Leaving the start resets the countdown.
Follow the path
On GO, track the dot along the blue path to the red end point. Stay within the band โ drifting more than 75px from the centerline fails the round.
Review
After the run, review your total score, per-round time and deviation, and a learning curve across rounds.
More Practice
Coordination & Motor Control
11 exercisesHand-Eye-Foot Coordination Test
A real-time three-axis coordination test. Keep the aircraft centred on the target runway while periodic disturbances push it left/right, forward/backward, and roll it from side to side. Best practised with a game controller or rudder pedals mapped to the three control axes.
Compensatory Tracking Test
An invisible disturbance drags your cursor off centre โ feed in smooth corrections and hold it on the crosshair.
Pursuit Tracking Test
Keep your gunsight locked onto an aircraft that keeps changing direction โ and keeps getting faster.
Drift Control Test
Keep an unstable ball centred on a plate while it constantly tries to escape โ and recoveries are measured to the millisecond.
Balance Beam Test
A ball on a seesaw and two keys to tilt it. Keep the ball in the zone as the zone moves further out, then while you answer a colour lamp, then with the two keys swapped. Built to the format of the hand-eye coordination test in TestAir360, stage 1 of Wizz Air's cadet selection.
Gate Flying Test
Fly through a stream of approaching gates at a pace you can't slow down โ the aircraft answers late, so think ahead.
Tunnel Flying Test
Fly a tunnel of rotating ring obstacles โ thread each moving gap, and every three clean passes the tunnel gets faster.
Instrument Coordination Test
Hold heading, altitude and speed on their bugs with stick and thrust โ while a voice stream demands answers of its own.
Dual-Task Tracking Test
Track one target with your hands and another with your feet โ then keep both alive while answering an audio stream.
ENAC Three-Task Keyboard Multitask
Three tasks at once, all on the keyboard. A circle glides around a field, and you hold the arrow key of the way it's going. A symbol in the circle and another in a box change every few seconds: press SPACE when the two are identical. A strip of equations slides along with the leftmost one in a frame, and you press F while that one is false. The run lasts 10 minutes without a break.
ENAC Psychomoteur
Four tasks at once, with two joysticks and the keyboard. You hold a cross inside a small circle that moves around a large one, keep four gauges centred, mark the named letters in each row of nine, and type the result of each calculation. Each task's weight is on screen and changes from phase to phase. And while any task is under its line, the total drops to 0.
