Triple Multitasking Test

Intellectual

Verify chained equations, spot duplicate icons, and keep your aircraft in the gap as hazard lines fall. Three tasks, one screen, one five-minute clock.

~5 min

Overview

The Triple Multitasking Test measures divided attention in the three-concurrent-task presentation cut-e/Aon uses for pilot selection: one screen, one five-minute clock, three visual tasks running simultaneously. The task mix here matches the real screen: equation verification on top, a seven-icon duplicate check in the middle, and a falling-hazard dodge across five boxes at the bottom, with roughly three seconds from a hazard line appearing to impact. Item details, pacing, difficulty tiers and all scoring are our own design around those verified dynamics, and mouse, touch or keyboard are the assessment-realistic inputs for this at-home test.

Assessments

Could show up in cut-e / Aon-based selections.

Airline mappings are based on public information and may change.

Example: one beat of each panel

The walkthrough below plays the three panels one at a time so each rule is visible. In the test itself they all run together on a single five-minute clock.

Hazard lane

Top panel: a chained equation with a stated result. Work it left to right: 3+4 is 7, plus 6 is 13, minus 2 is 11. The stated 11 matches.

The average punishes neglect
Each channel scores 0 to 1 and the headline is 100 times their plain average. A perfect arithmetic panel with an abandoned hazard lane caps you around 67, while three decent channels beat it comfortably. Wrong answers cost a point in the two upper panels, so guessing does not pay; letting an item time out is neutral but still counts against that channel's rate. Challenge mode plays by its own rule: no clock, and the first wrong answer, unanswered timeout or collision ends the run, with every correct action before it banked as your score.

Game Phases

1

Verify the equations

A chained sum like 2+1+8-6 = 5 sits in the top panel. Work it left to right and press Correct or Wrong; a wrong stated result is only ever off by a small margin, so it takes real arithmetic to catch. Answered or not, equations keep changing.

2

Spot the duplicate

The middle panel shows one row of seven icons. Press 1X when every icon appears exactly once, 2X when any icon shows up twice. A fresh row follows each answer.

3

Sit in the gap

Four hazards fall in a horizontal line toward five boxes, always leaving exactly one gap. Click anywhere in the lane: the horizontal position of the click is the box your aircraft moves to. You have about three seconds per line, and the next line is already coming.

4

Keep all three alive

The score is the average of the three channels, so a brilliant top panel cannot carry an abandoned bottom one. The results screen names your weakest channel; that is where divided attention actually shows.

Multitasking Test

Two tasks at once: scan number grids for duplicate pairs while answering spoken questions from your phonebook, agenda, mental math and word categories — some of which must be answered at an exact moment on the clock.

M-TASK Multitasking Test

Three tasks at once in the Schuhfried M-TASK format: work a symbol queue in its stated priority order, fill arithmetic blanks against a time bar, and reorder symbol rows to match a target. One clock, a neglected panel drags the whole score, and every run records a replay. Or go endless in Challenge, where the first mistake ends the run.

ENAC Marble Tubes

Two boards of three tubes hold the same numbered marbles. Count the fewest moves that turn the top board into the bottom one, then click that number. A move takes the top marble of a tube and puts it on top of another tube. The tubes hold 3, 2 and 3 marbles. The exam format is 10 boards with 20 seconds each.

ENAC Slid Shapes

Two 6 × 6 grids and a tray of pieces. Slide pieces onto your grid until it matches the figure beside it. A light cell of a piece flips the square under it and a dark cell changes nothing, so two light cells on one square cancel out. The exam format is 5 boards with 3 minutes each.

ENAC Airspace Conflict Watch

Aircraft cross two bands of six airways, blue ones from right to left and violet ones from left to right. Each band has a grey zone that can never hold more than 4 aircraft, or more than 2 blue ones. You close airways to keep both zones within their limits, and you divert as few aircraft as you can. The exam format is 10 boards in a row.
