Math: Percentages
IntellectualSolve percentage problems — find the percentage or the whole number given the other two values.
Overview
The Percentages test measures your ability to reason about proportional relationships under time pressure. Each problem uses a whole number between 200 and 999 and a percentage between 5% and 29%. Half the questions ask you to find the percentage, the other half ask you to find the whole number. In multiple choice the fourth option is always "No correct answer" — which may be the right answer, so check carefully.
Assessments
Tested in assessments at KLM.
Could show up in Schuhfried, cut-e / Aon, COMPASS, DLR, ADAPT, PILAPT and SHL-based selections.

Example: find the percentage
You are shown a percentage-of-a-quantity problem. Convert the percent to a fraction of 100, multiply, and pick the matching value. Exactly one option is correct.
15% means 15 per 100, so 0.15 × 80 = 12. The distractors come from misplacing the decimal — 1.2 divides by 100 once too often, 120 multiplies by 100 too many — and 15 just echoes the percentage figure.
Game Phases
Configure
Choose your preferred duration and answer mode (multiple choice or open-ended) before starting.
Solve
Work through percentage problems as quickly and accurately as you can within the time limit.
Review
After finishing, review your score and inspect each question and your answer.
More Practice
Mental Math
14 exercisesMath: Full
A mixed practice test combining all math categories — integers, decimals, fractions, time, weight, operators, and percentages — with a per-question timer.
Math: Decimals
Solve decimal arithmetic problems — addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with decimal numbers.
Math: Fractions
Solve fraction arithmetic problems — addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions.
Math: Integers
Solve integer arithmetic problems — addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Math: Operators
Find the two operators that make the fraction equal the target value.
Math: Time
Add or subtract two times expressed in hours, minutes, and seconds.
Math: Weight
Add or subtract two weights expressed in kilograms and grams.
Equation Completion
Fill each equation's gaps with digit tiles 1 to 9, each usable once, so the given result is correct. The faithful cut-e (Aon scales eql) digit entry format, plus our multiple choice practice variant.
Data Interpretation
Read data from a chart or table — bar, line, pie or table — and answer a numerical question or judge a statement True, False or Cannot Say, one item at a time against the clock. Play with a single chart per question, or the cut-e-realistic tabbed workbook where finding the right dataset is part of the task.
Speed, Distance & Time
Solve speed–distance–time word problems in an aviation setting — ground speed, distance to run, ETA and fuel burn — applying distance = speed × time to find the missing variable, mentally and against the clock.
Audio Math Test
Mental arithmetic you hear instead of read: each question is narrated once in your headphones, and the answer clock only starts when the voice stops.
ENAC Mental Calculation
Four series of ten boards, back to back, each on its own clock. You type the result of a chain of additions and subtractions, type the value of the last letter in a small system, choose the narrowest of 10 intervals that holds a result, then tick every one of 7 intervals that does. On the ENAC EPL form, every chain in the first series ends on a multiplication and each series gets 4 minutes. On the Air France Cadets form, the first series is sums only and each series gets 6 minutes.
ENAC Mathématiques
Thirty word problems on percentages, speeds, work rates, shapes and clocks, with a pen and paper but no calculator. You type most answers as a number and pick a few from five. The exam format is 30 problems in 35 minutes.
ENAC Calculation Grids
A board of 9 complete calculations, three by three. Some of them are false. Click the false ones, then validate before the bar runs out. A board holds anywhere from none to 4 false ones. The exam format is 8 boards with 40 seconds each.
