Prepare for Skywings Flight Training

One course covers the selection you sit at Skywings Flight Training.

Skywings Flight Training screens with COMPASS at the screening (step 1).

Candidates who already hold a DLR certificate (grade A or B) are exempted from the COMPASS and personality tests. The remaining screening steps are a maths and physics paper, an English test, a simulator assessment and a motivation interview.

Provider mappings are based on public information and may change. Last checked September 2026.

Skywings Flight Training is among Belgium's leading airline pilot academies, based at Antwerp International Airport in Deurne. An EASA-approved training organisation, it delivers ab-initio training from private pilot level through to frozen ATPL and MPL and has established itself as the country's principal route into the airlines.

Training at Skywings Flight Training

The academy trains integrated and modular students as well as MPL cadets, and it is the official training provider for the Brussels Airlines MPL Cadet Program. Under that scheme, Brussels Airlines selects its cadets before training begins, with successful applicants following an MPL curriculum built around the airline's operations from day one.

Selection for the MPL programme is demanding: candidates are assessed with the COMPASS aptitude test alongside interviews and further screening before the airline confirms a place. Because a seat on the flight deck is effectively decided before the first flying lesson, focused practice on pilot aptitude and psychometric assessments plays a decisive role in a candidate's chances.
