Prepare for Royal Jordanian

One course prepares you for the Royal Jordanian selection process.

Royal Jordanian screens with DLR at the cadet selection.

The DLR test is the gate cadet pilot applicants must pass before the technical interview stage.

Royal Jordanian is the flag carrier of Jordan and a oneworld member, operating from Queen Alia International Airport in Amman with a fleet spanning the Airbus A320neo family and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Its network connects the Levant to Europe, North America and the Gulf, and the airline has been renewing its fleet substantially as part of a long-term rebuild.

Flying for Royal Jordanian

Cadet entry runs through the Royal Jordanian Air Academy and JATS on a co-funded basis — cadets are typically expected to meet a large share of their ab-initio training cost rather than being fully sponsored, so this is closer to a structured self-funded pathway with an airline attached than to a free seat. Experienced First Officers and Captains are recruited directly for the A320 and 787 fleets.

The selection process is the reason this airline is worth a close look on a site about aptitude testing: every new cadet applicant must pass the DLR test, the same German Aerospace Center battery Lufthansa Group selection is built on, and passing it is a requirement rather than a guarantee of a job. The wider assessment adds COMPASS tests, reasoning and mathematics papers, an ATPL technical test, a personality inventory, a group exercise, an HR interview and a simulator assessment. Applications close 45 days before a test date, so preparation has to start well before the window.
