Prepare for Luxair
One course prepares you for the Luxair selection process.
Candidate accounts consistently point to DLR at Luxair's psychometric stage.
Luxair publishes nothing about it, so treat it as the likely battery rather than a settled fact.
This applies to the Pilot Cadet Program; the psychometric day and the later final assessment are both held in Hamburg.

Luxair is the flag carrier of Luxembourg, flying Boeing 737s and De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprops from Luxembourg Findel Airport across European business and leisure routes. It is a small airline by fleet size but the national carrier of a country at the centre of Europe, and it also runs a substantial tour operating business.
Flying for Luxair
Luxair runs a genuine cadet programme with a current intake — the 2026 course starts at the beginning of the year and runs 18 months, covering classroom instruction, simulator training and real-world flying. Requirements are explicit: at least 18 years old, high school graduation qualifying for university entrance, a valid EASA class 1 medical, fluent English, and the right to live and work in the EU or EFTA, with no criminal record including driving offences. The programme is open regardless of whether an applicant already holds a degree or has years of experience in another field, which makes it a realistic career-change route.
Two physical requirements catch people out and are worth checking first: height must be between 157 and 193 cm, and applicants must be able to swim. Beyond those, selection is the standard European sequence of computer-based aptitude testing, group exercises, interviews and a medical — and with a fully structured 18-month programme behind it, competition for places is heavy.
