Prepare for Copa Airlines

One course prepares you for the Copa Airlines selection process.

Candidate accounts consistently point to COMPASS at Copa Airlines' online aptitude stage.

Copa Airlines publishes nothing about it, so treat it as the likely battery rather than a settled fact.

The aptitude stage is followed by a technical/ATPL test, a simulator assessment and interviews.

Provider mappings are based on public information and may change. Last checked September 2026.

Copa Airlines is the flag carrier of Panama, operating an all-Boeing 737 fleet of 737-800s and 737 MAX aircraft through its Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City. A Star Alliance member, it connects around eighty destinations across North, Central and South America and the Caribbean with a hub-and-spoke model renowned for its punctuality. The airline is the principal subsidiary of Copa Holdings, one of Latin America's most consistently profitable carriers.

Flying for Copa Airlines

Copa recruits direct-entry pilots for its 737 fleet and supports a cadet pathway through ALAS, the Academia Latinoamericana de Aviación Superior, a non-profit aviation academy backed by the airline that has trained Panamanian pilots for more than a decade. Academy graduates regularly progress into the Copa flight deck, and intakes are aimed at developing national talent for the airline's growing operation.

Selection for both cadets and direct-entry pilots involves computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing, English-language evaluation, interviews and simulator assessment for experienced candidates. The airline's standardised single-fleet operation places a premium on consistent performance under pressure, which is precisely the skill that regular practice of pilot aptitude and cognitive assessments helps to build.
