Aegean Airlines is the largest Greek carrier and a member of the Star Alliance, operating from its main hub at Athens International Airport across an extensive European and Eastern Mediterranean network. Its fleet is centred on the Airbus A320neo family, including longer-range A321neo variants, with regional flying handled by subsidiary Olympic Air. The airline is consistently recognised among Europe's leading regional carriers.

Flying for Aegean Airlines

Aegean has invested heavily in home-grown pilots through its Pilot Scholarship Program, which funds the training of 120 cadets across 2026-2028 in partnership with Egnatia Aviation and Global Aviation, leading graduates towards a First Officer role on the A320 family. Direct-entry recruitment of type-rated and experienced pilots runs alongside the scholarship intakes.

Scholarship and pilot selection is multi-stage, combining computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing with English and academic screening, panel interviews and medical assessment. Places are heavily oversubscribed, which is precisely where advance practice of pilot aptitude assessments makes a measurable difference.
