Prepare for Vueling
Candidate accounts consistently point to Predictive Index at Vueling's psychometric stage.
Vueling publishes nothing about it, so treat it as the likely battery rather than a settled fact.
This refers to direct-entry pilot campaigns; cadets applying through a partner academy sit that academy's own aptitude assessment instead.
No Vueling-specific course yet
Vueling's selection uses Predictive Index, which we do not train for specifically. The general aptitude course still covers the abilities it measures.
Provider mappings are based on public information and may change. Last checked September 2026.
Vueling is Spain's largest low-cost carrier and part of International Airlines Group (IAG), operating a single-type Airbus A320-family fleet from its main base at Barcelona–El Prat. It flies a dense short-haul network across Spain, Europe and North Africa, and is known for high-frequency city routes and quick turnarounds. Its head office sits in the Viladecans Business Park just outside Barcelona.
Flying for Vueling
Vueling recruits both type-rated and non-type-rated First Officers for its A320-family fleet, and runs a cadet pilot programme in partnership with approved training organisations, including a pathway delivered with CAE, that takes candidates from little or no flying experience through an integrated course toward the right-hand seat. Intake volumes vary with the airline's growth plans, so pathways open and close depending on demand.
Selection combines online aptitude and psychometric testing with interviews, group exercises and, for later stages, simulator assessment of core handling and multi-tasking skills. Because the early online stages screen out a large share of applicants, working through practice aptitude and cognitive tests beforehand is one of the most effective ways to arrive prepared.
Where Vueling is based
