Prepare for Urbe Aero Flight Academy

One course covers the selection you sit at Urbe Aero Flight Academy.

Candidate accounts consistently point to ADAPT at Urbe Aero Flight Academy's Aeroitalia cadet selection.

Urbe Aero Flight Academy publishes nothing about it, so treat it as the likely battery rather than a settled fact.

This applies to the Aeroitalia ATPL Mentored Cadet Programme and the APS MCC pipeline. Urbe Aero's other cadet route, the Wizz Air Pathway Programme, is selected by Wizz Air itself, and the academy's own ATPL entry requires no aptitude battery.

Urbe Aero Flight Academy is an Italian airline pilot academy based at Rome Urbe Airport, with roots going back to 2003 as Diamond Aircraft's exclusive Italian agent and pilot training delivered since 2009. An ENAC/EASA-approved ATO (IT.ATO.0065) with a 2,200-square-metre campus, a modern Diamond-dominated fleet of around twenty aircraft and more than 260 active students, it describes itself as the first Italian flight school certified to issue the Multi-crew Pilot Licence.

Training at Urbe Aero

The academy trains through a 24-month integrated ATPL, modular routes and the MPL, all delivered from the single Rome Urbe campus where theory, flying and simulators sit side by side. Its flagship airline pathway is the Wizz Air Pathway Programme, run with Urbe Aero as the airline's Italian partner: cadets receive a letter of intent from Wizz Air before enrolment, with the conditional job offer following during training and the APS MCC and Airbus A320neo type rating pre-financed by the airline. The ATPL itself is paid by the student: €84,500 on the 2025 price list, in instalments over the course. Successful candidates keep the offer by meeting Wizz's standards in training, including an 85% average across the 13 ATPL theory exams. The academy also reports recognition from easyJet as a training partner, with a shortened selection process for its graduates.

Selection for the Wizz Air pathway is managed by the airline itself and comprises two rounds of online computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing followed by an in-person assessment day. Because the airline's screening comes before a single training flight, candidates who have rehearsed pilot aptitude tests under realistic conditions enter that assessment with a substantial head start.
