Prepare for TUI Airways
TUI Airways screens with Sova Assessment at the online aptitude stage.
The Sova test is the online sift; later stages are a digital video interview, an assessment centre and a Boeing 737 simulator assessment.
No TUI Airways-specific course yet
TUI Airways' selection uses Sova Assessment, which we do not train for specifically. The general aptitude course still covers the abilities it measures.

TUI Airways is the United Kingdom's largest charter airline and the British arm of the TUI Group, flying Boeing 737 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft from bases across the UK to the Mediterranean, the Canaries, the Caribbean and long-haul leisure destinations. It is a distinct airline from TUI fly Netherlands, and its schedule is shaped by holiday seasons rather than a year-round business network.
Flying for TUI Airways
TUI has run one of the better-known fully funded MPL cadet programmes in the UK: a 19-month course covering training costs, accommodation, uniforms and exam fees, leading to a Multi-Pilot Licence and a right-hand seat on the 737. Entry required being at least 18 and holding five GCSEs including maths, English and a science at grade C/4 or above. Direct-entry pilots are recruited alongside it.
The important current caveat is that TUI confirmed it would not run an MPL cadet intake in 2026, on the basis that the cohort would not be needed to meet crewing demand for the summer 2028 flying season. Anyone planning around the scheme should treat it as paused rather than open, watch the careers page for a future intake, and in the meantime prepare for the aptitude stage that has always fronted it.
