Prepare for Thai Airways International

No Thai Airways International course yet

Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.

Thai Airways International is Thailand's flag carrier and a founding member of Star Alliance, flying a widebody-heavy fleet of Boeing 787s, Airbus A350s and Boeing 777s from its hub at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. Its network reaches across Asia to Europe and Australia, and the airline has long been one of the region's best-known full-service brands. After four years under court-supervised rehabilitation following the pandemic, it exited the programme in June 2025 and returned to trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand that August, moving back into fleet growth.

Flying for Thai Airways

THAI recruits on two separate tracks and advertises them as such: an annual Student Pilot intake for candidates with no flying experience, and a Qualified Pilot intake for those who already hold a licence. The student pilot route is the ab-initio pathway into the airline, and it carries a firm English-proficiency gate — applicants must present either a THAI TEP score of at least 63 or a personal TOEIC score of at least 650, dated inside the round's validity window.

Selection runs in stages across several months and combines written examinations and aptitude testing with interviews, a class 1 medical and a psychological assessment. The airline enforces a cooling-off rule that makes preparation matter more than persistence: candidates who reached the individual interview stage in the previous year's round but were not selected are barred from applying in the next one, so a first attempt is effectively the attempt that counts.
