Skyborne Airline Academy

Skyborne Airline Academy is an international flight training group with a UK base at Gloucestershire Airport and a US campus at Vero Beach, Florida. It trains professional pilots under UK CAA and EASA frameworks in Europe and under FAA rules in the United States, and has built a strong reputation in a relatively short time for high-quality, airline-oriented cadet training. Its Vero Beach campus offers extensive facilities and reliable year-round flying weather.

Training at Skyborne Airline Academy

Skyborne is best known for its integrated ATPL programme, which takes complete beginners to a frozen ATPL across several phases, finishing with multi-crew cooperation and jet-orientation training alongside airline-readiness elements built into the course. It has assembled one of the strongest airline-pipeline portfolios in the UK: it is Ryanair's exclusive UK partner for the Future Flyer Academy, an ATPL training partner for easyJet, and a training provider for the British Airways Speedbird Pilot Academy, while its Vero Beach campus in Florida hosts the Delta Propel Flight Academy and cadet training for IndiGo.

Selection involves a structured assessment process built around computer-based aptitude testing — Skyborne's own selection guidance is based on the Aon (cut-e) test battery — together with numerical and reasoning exercises and interviews. Because entry screening and the airline assessments that follow draw on the same aptitude skills, candidates who train those skills early tend to be better positioned for both academy entry and subsequent airline selection.
