Prepare for Scoot

One course prepares you for the Scoot selection process.

Candidate accounts consistently point to cut-e / Aon at Scoot's online aptitude stage.

Scoot publishes nothing about it, so treat it as the likely battery rather than a settled fact.

Scoot runs its own cadet selection rather than going through the Singapore Airlines cadet process, though both start with an online aptitude stage.

Provider mappings are based on public information and may change. Last checked September 2026.

Scoot is the low-cost subsidiary of the Singapore Airlines Group, based at Singapore Changi Airport and operating a mixed fleet of Boeing 787s, Airbus A320-family aircraft and Embraer E190-E2s. Its network stretches from short regional hops to medium- and long-haul leisure routes across Asia-Pacific and beyond, making it one of the few low-cost carriers with genuine widebody long-haul operations. As part of the SIA Group it shares the parent's strong reputation for training standards.

Flying for Scoot

Scoot recruits experienced direct-entry pilots for its 787, A320-family and E190-E2 fleets, and runs a co-funded cadet programme in which trainees complete a customised 19-month course culminating in a Multi-crew Pilot Licence or frozen ATPL before joining the airline as Second Officers. The most recent intake commenced training in early 2026, and cadets progress through Scoot base and line training onto the 787 or A320 after graduating.

Cadet selection is multi-stage, combining computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing, panel interviews and a CAAS Class 1 medical, with standards reflecting the SIA Group's exacting training culture. The aptitude rounds screen heavily for spatial reasoning, multi-tasking and working memory, so structured practice with pilot cognitive assessments before applying is time very well spent.
