Prepare for Republic Airways
No Republic Airways course yet
Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.
Republic Airways is a major American regional airline headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, operating a large fleet of Embraer E170 and E175 jets on fixed-fee flying for American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express. Flying for all three US legacy networks makes it one of the busiest Embraer operators in the world.
Flying for Republic Airways
Republic is unusual among US regionals in owning its own ab-initio flight school: LIFT Academy, opened in Indianapolis in 2018, trains students from zero experience on Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft across several campuses and offers graduates a defined path onto the Republic flight deck once they reach airline minima, typically after time instructing. The airline also hires direct-entry First Officers who already meet US ATP requirements.
Assessment includes computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing, interviews and a review of training records, with Republic placing weight on consistency and professionalism across a candidate's history. Whether entering through LIFT or directly, candidates who have drilled pilot aptitude and cognitive assessments beforehand tend to perform noticeably better under test conditions.
