Prepare for Malaysia Airlines

One course prepares you for the Malaysia Airlines selection process.

Malaysia Airlines screens with ADAPT at the cadet selection (psychomotor and psychometric stage).

The ADAPT battery sits late in the cadet flow, after an initial assessment test and earlier stages.

Malaysia Airlines is the flag carrier of Malaysia and the anchor airline of Malaysia Aviation Group, headquartered in Sepang beside its hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. A Oneworld member, it operates Boeing 737 narrowbodies alongside Airbus widebodies on a network spanning Asia, Australasia and beyond. The airline has been rebuilding steadily under the group's long-term transformation plan.

Flying for Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Aviation Group runs a cadet pilot programme for Malaysian citizens through the Malaysia Airlines Academy in Sepang, alongside direct-entry recruitment for rated and experienced pilots. The most recent cadet recruitment, held for the 2026 intake, drew more than 2,000 applicants for around 36 places, and further intakes are opened periodically depending on demand.

Cadet selection runs through entrance examinations, computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing, interviews and medical screening, with competition ratios that make preparation essential. Given that well under two per cent of recent applicants secured a place, practising pilot aptitude and cognitive assessments before applying is one of the few factors genuinely within a candidate's control.
