Prepare for Kuwait Airways
No Kuwait Airways course yet
Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.
Kuwait Airways is the flag carrier of Kuwait and one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East, flying from Kuwait International Airport with a fleet of Airbus A320neo and A330neo aircraft plus Boeing 777s. State-owned throughout its history, it operates a regional network across the Gulf and the subcontinent alongside long-haul services to Europe and Asia.
Flying for Kuwait Airways
The airline runs a Cadet Training Programme developed with CAE, which handles the flight training while applications are made directly to Kuwait Airways rather than through the academy. Entry requires completion of undergraduate study in a science or mathematics-related subject with a minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent, so it sits later in the academic pipeline than most Gulf cadet schemes. Experienced direct-entry pilots are recruited alongside it.
Selection is long and multi-stage: an ATPL-level technical test, psychometric and reasoning batteries, an English language test, a personality inventory, an HR interview and a simulator assessment. That is one of the more test-heavy processes in the region, and three of its stages — reasoning, psychometrics and the technical paper — are ones a candidate can prepare for directly.
