Prepare for KLM Flight Academy
KLM Flight Academy does not select its own cadets — candidates go through KLM's process.
KLM screens with Schuhfried at the cadet selection (BCO and SMO phases).
Selection is the KLM cadet procedure: voorselectie, BCO, SMO and competency testing at the Aviation Medical Center, then the KLM admission and appointment committees at Schiphol.
No KLM Flight Academy-specific course yet
KLM Flight Academy screens with Schuhfried, and that battery does have a course.

KLM Flight Academy is the dedicated pilot school of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, based at Groningen Airport Eelde in the north of the Netherlands. Operating to EASA standards as a wholly owned subsidiary of one of Europe's flag carriers, it is among the most prestigious and selective airline cadet academies on the continent, training a small number of students each year on a purpose-built campus alongside a modern fleet of Diamond training aircraft.
Training at KLM Flight Academy
KLM Flight Academy delivers integrated ATPL training that takes carefully selected candidates from no prior experience through theory, single-engine and multi-engine flying, and airline-oriented multi-crew preparation. Its close ties to KLM mean the programme is built around the standards and culture of a major scheduled airline, giving cadets a structured pathway toward an airline flight deck.
Places are highly competitive and awarded through a rigorous multi-stage selection process conducted with the Aviation Medical Center in Amsterdam, covering computer-based capacity testing, sensorimotor assessment, competency-based evaluation with group exercises, and interviews. Because so much rests on this assessment stage, applicants benefit from preparing thoroughly for pilot aptitude tests well before applying, so they can perform at their best against demanding airline-grade selection criteria.
