Prepare for JetBlue

One course prepares you for the JetBlue selection process.

JetBlue screens with ADAPT at the pilot selection assessments.

Symbiotics' ADAPT battery is associated with JetBlue's ab-initio pathway (Gateway Select); JetBlue does not publish the vendor itself.

JetBlue is a New York-based carrier headquartered in Long Island City, flying an Airbus fleet of A320-family, A321neo and A220 aircraft from focus cities including New York JFK, Boston and Fort Lauderdale. Its long-range A321LR aircraft operate transatlantic services to Europe, unusual for a carrier of its model, and it has built a reputation for a strong onboard product at accessible fares. JetBlue is not a member of one of the three global alliances.

Flying for JetBlue

Most JetBlue pilots join as experienced direct-entry First Officers holding an FAA ATP certificate, typically built up through regional airline, military or instructing careers. The airline also operates its Gateway programmes for aspiring aviators, including Gateway Select — an ab-initio pathway delivered with training partner CAE that takes candidates with little or no flight experience from primary training in Mesa, Arizona through instructing to a JetBlue flight deck over roughly three and a half years, with application windows opening periodically.

Selection combines computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing with structured competency interviews, and Gateway Select applicants in particular face rigorous screening designed to predict training success from the very start. Because these assessments reward composure, multi-tasking and quick, accurate reasoning, candidates who practise pilot aptitude and cognitive tests in advance consistently give themselves an edge.
