Prepare for Iberia
One course prepares you for the Iberia selection process.
Iberia screens with cut-e / Aon at the cadet selection.
This applies to the Iberia Cadetes ab-initio programme, which Iberia runs jointly with FTEJerez; direct-entry pilot campaigns use a separate process of theory, psychometric, English and simulator stages with no publicly named test provider.
Provider mappings are based on public information and may change. Last checked September 2026.
Iberia is the flag carrier of Spain and a founding pillar of International Airlines Group (IAG), operating from its hub at Madrid–Barajas with an Airbus A320-family short-haul fleet and A330s and A350s on long-haul routes. A member of the Oneworld alliance, it is the leading carrier between Europe and Latin America and is recognised for its strong operational performance in recent years.
Flying for Iberia
Iberia runs its Cadetes programme in partnership with FTEJerez, taking candidates with no previous flying experience through an integrated ATPL course at the academy's Jerez de la Frontera campus; the airline finances roughly half the training cost interest-free, repaid once graduates complete an A320 type rating and join the Iberia Group. The sixth edition launched in early 2026, and the airline also recruits experienced direct-entry pilots as its fleet grows.
Cadet selection is demanding, combining computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing with technical screening, interviews and assessment days, with English and Spanish language requirements on top. Competition for each edition is intense, which is precisely why systematic practice of aptitude and cognitive assessments before applying pays such a clear dividend.
