Prepare for Horizon Swiss Flight Academy
Horizon Swiss Flight Academy runs its own battery at the flight-school admission — Aptitude Test ACP, with no commercial vendor behind it.
Horizon Swiss Flight Academy screens with HUPEX (Human Potential Explorer) at the airline flight crew selection service.
Horizon does not accept a DLR certificate for its own aptitude test; candidates with an unrestricted SPHAIR recommendation are exempt. Its airline selection service is sold to operators and is used for Helvetic Airways' cadet programme.
No Horizon Swiss Flight Academy-specific course yet
Horizon Swiss Flight Academy's selection uses Aptitude Test ACP, which we do not train for specifically. The general aptitude course still covers the abilities it measures.

Horizon Swiss Flight Academy is one of Switzerland's longest-established pilot schools, based in Kloten beside Zurich Airport and training pilots since 1979. Part of the Helvetic Airways Group, it operates as a Swiss Approved Training Organisation under EASA-compliant Part-FCL regulation, covering every module from PPL through CPL and instrument rating to frozen ATPL. Its position at the doorstep of Switzerland's largest airport has made it a recognised gateway into Swiss airline cockpits.
Training at Horizon Swiss Flight Academy
Horizon trains ab-initio students from first flight to frozen ATPL, with practical flying conducted at Zurich-Kloten and simulator work at its own facility in the town. Its standout offer is the career model run through parent company Helvetic Airways, under which selected candidates undergo a tailored assessment that can lead to a conditional first officer pathway with the airline, and the school has also worked alongside easyJet Switzerland on specialised training programmes.
Entry runs through the academy's own selection, centred on its computer-based Aptitude Test ACP, with results from the Swiss SPHAIR screening programme also recognised in place of it. Because the Helvetic career model hangs a conditional airline offer on how candidates perform at assessment, preparation counts from day one, and sharpening the underlying cognitive and psychomotor skills before testing is one of the most effective ways to secure a place and the airline pathway beyond it.
