Prepare for EgyptAir
No EgyptAir course yet
Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.
EgyptAir is the flag carrier of Egypt and a member of the Star Alliance, operating from its hub at Cairo International Airport. The airline flies a mixed Airbus and Boeing fleet spanning 737-800 and A320neo-family narrowbodies alongside 787, A330 and, from 2026, A350 widebodies, serving a network across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas. It is one of the oldest airlines in the world and the largest carrier in North Africa.
Flying for EgyptAir
EgyptAir develops most of its pilots through the EgyptAir Training Academy in Cairo, which runs ab-initio training from zero hours through to frozen ATPL and type rating; the airline's cadet pathway is aimed at Egyptian nationals and typically leads to a First Officer position on the 737-800 or A320 family. Recruitment activity through 2024 and 2025 covered both cadets and experienced First Officers, and the A350 delivery stream beginning in 2026 points to continued hiring, though candidates should verify current intake windows through official channels.
Selection combines computer-based aptitude and psychometric testing with academic screening, English proficiency checks, interviews and stringent medical assessment. The aptitude stages filter heavily on spatial reasoning, memory and multitasking, which is precisely where structured practice with pilot cognitive assessments pays off.
