BAA Training is one of Europe's largest independent aviation training organisations, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, in a dedicated aviation district close to the airport. Certified by EASA, it offers ab-initio cadet training as well as advanced and recurrent airline training, supported by a simulator centre housing several full-flight simulators. Its scale and independence have made it a notable training provider for cadets across Europe and beyond.
Training at BAA Training
BAA Training's integrated ATPL programme takes students from zero experience to a frozen ATPL, with the full EASA theory syllabus delivered at the Vilnius ground school and flight training conducted at a base in Spain to take advantage of favourable flying conditions. The academy runs airline cadet pathways including the job-guaranteed Volotea MPL programme, and operates a campus in Vietnam serving cadet training for carriers in Southeast Asia, finishing training with multi-crew cooperation and airline-oriented preparation.
Admission is based on a selection process that screens for aptitude and suitability for a professional flying career, typically including aptitude tests, an evaluation of maths and English ability, and interviews. As these assessments closely resemble airline screening, prospective cadets are encouraged to prepare for pilot aptitude assessments before they begin the application process.
Where BAA Training trains
Theory is taught in Ho Chi Minh City. Flight training takes place in Lleida. Vilnius covers both theory and flight.
