Prepare for Allegiant Air
No Allegiant Air course yet
Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.
Allegiant Air is a US ultra-low-cost carrier based in Las Vegas, flying Airbus A320-family aircraft on a network of largely non-stop leisure routes connecting small and mid-sized cities to holiday destinations in Florida, Nevada and Arizona. Its schedule is built around low-frequency leisure demand rather than daily business traffic, which shapes the roster pattern its pilots fly.
Flying for Allegiant Air
Allegiant runs three named pathways rather than one cadet scheme: the Altitude Pilot Pathway for ab-initio candidates, which trains six FAA certificates and ratings alongside leadership development and an Allegiant interview while the participant builds hours; the Accelerate Pilot Pathway for students at its Part 141 university partner programmes; and a Military Pilot Pathway for aviators moving into Part 121 operations. Pathway participants are not eligible for employment as an Allegiant pilot until they have logged 1,500 hours after completing training.
Direct-entry First Officers need a current FAA first-class medical, the full aeronautical experience requirements for an ATP under 14 CFR 61.159, an FAA ATP multi-engine land certificate — restricted or unrestricted — and a bachelor's degree. Note that the Altitude Pathway application window has been closed, so the pathway is worth checking before building a plan around it.
