Prepare for Air Nostrum
No Air Nostrum course yet
Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.
Air Nostrum operates as Iberia Regional under franchise to Iberia, flying a fleet of around 42 Bombardier CRJ-1000 regional jets and ATR 72-600 turboprops from bases across Spain. Headquartered in Valencia, it flies the domestic and short regional routes that feed Iberia's network, and is one of Europe's larger regional operators.
Flying for Air Nostrum
Air Nostrum is a well-trodden route into a Spanish airline flight deck: it opens First Officer campaigns for the CRJ-1000 and the ATR 72-600 as operational needs arise, plus direct-entry Captain postings, and new First Officers are usually assigned to the CRJ-1000 as the more common entry fleet. Candidates must be EU or EEA citizens or hold a valid EU work permit, and type rating costs are generally covered for pilots recruited through the standard selection process.
Because campaigns are posted against operational need rather than on an annual cycle, timing matters as much as qualification — a candidate who is not ready when a campaign opens simply misses it. Selection follows the Spanish regional pattern of aptitude and psychometric testing, technical assessment, simulator evaluation and interview.
