Prepare for Aeroméxico
No Aeroméxico course yet
Most operators screen with the same aptitude tests, so a general assessment course still covers the bulk of the selection.
Aeroméxico is the flag carrier of Mexico and a founding member of SkyTeam, operating from its hub at Mexico City International Airport. It flies Boeing 737 MAX narrowbodies and 787 Dreamliners alongside Embraer regional jets across Mexico, the Americas, Europe and Asia, and its deep joint venture with Delta makes the US transborder market central to the business.
Flying for Aeroméxico
Aeroméxico runs the first cadet programme of its kind in Mexico, built with CAE and open to candidates with no flying experience at all. The 18-month course starts with ground school at the airline's own training centre in Mexico City, moves to flight training at CAE's Phoenix academy on glass-cockpit Piper aircraft with Garmin G1000 avionics, and returns to Mexico for DGAC commercial licence issue. The airline recruits experienced direct-entry pilots alongside it.
Cadet selection includes a computerised pilot aptitude test as a formal stage, sitting alongside interviews, English assessment and a class 1 medical. Because the programme accepts people with zero hours, that aptitude test carries almost the entire weight of predicting who will make a pilot — there is no logbook for the airline to read instead — which makes practising cognitive and psychomotor assessments unusually consequential here.
